The new Art Clay Silver combines the best of each previous type in the Art Clay family – easy molding from the Original, slow drying from the Slow Dry, and a low firing temperature from the 650 range. Features of the new Art Clay Silver Formula: better workability compared to original and 650 formulas longer working time – longer than Slow Dry for the syringe, the ratio of silver has increased so that the syringe better holds its lines 8-9% shrinkage similar drying times as original and 650 formulas when using applies heat ( hair dryer, warmer, or dehydrator) easier carving and filing in the dry stage quicker and simpler reconstruction from dried clay; new formula clay is meant to absorb moisture well fires similarly to 650 formula – with a kiln, torch, or gas stove. Using a kiln the recommended time and temperatures are 30 minutes at 650°C on a continuum to only 5 minutes at 800°C high quality finishing and shine
